The Attitude of a Doer!

Feel free to share this story

The only thing worse than being too expensive

is being cheap!

~Unknown

Greg, the auto, property & casualty rates are increasing, and nobody’s buying life insurance!

Really?  Who told you that?

You’re probably not asking enough.  Are you aware that some team members and teams are having the best year of their lives serving families with life insurance in this environment?

How is that possible for them and not for you?

  • The product is the same.

  • The prices are the same for every producer.

  • And most importantly, the circumstances are the same!

I could be wrong, but maybe, just maybe, it isn’t really all about the rate environment.  After all, if anyone is getting it done, doesn’t that prove it’s possible?

Have you talked yourself out of asking?

Allowing a negative narrative to run free in your mind is dangerous.  Fielding complaints about the cycle of rate increases can’t be easy.  Let’s be honest – not everyone will be ready to move now.  But isn’t that true of any period?  You may have to call more people, but that’s a part of the business.

It isn’t about selling to everyone. It’s about serving anyone who’s willing to protect their family nowregardless of the circumstances.

It’s not only possible – it’s happening!  Don’t take my word for it.

Meet Kim F.

She was a banquet server before joining her Agent to become the receptionist.

Five years later, Kim graduated from the Service role to become the Sales and Service team manager and also works full-time in sales for personal production.  Oh, I forgot to add that she’s now an agent aspirant.

She’s spinning a lot of plates and doing a great job!

She and her teammates have been sitting on the front row of customer complaints. But instead of griping about it—which is the worst thing you can do—she’s looking for ways to engage.

She’s not concerned about those who won’t move today because she’s too busy looking for those who will.  She’s diving deep into her referral bag and filling her funnel.  She also moved to take advantage of social media to share the importance of life insurance.

Her Agent made a HUGE mistake and signed up with an idiot for our Gold team series this year, and Kim’s eating it up!

Your process has been an eye-opener for me.

It’s so easy to break down the coverage.

Especially if you’ve tried to explain life insurance in the past,

you could feel the customer’s eyes crossing over the phone.

~Kim

She went to work!

We’re only 3 months in, and Kim had her best month ever by month 2.

Have any of the concepts we’ve shared been difficult for you?

~Crazy Bald Dude

No, not at all.

Practicing makes things better, of course,

but everything has been pretty much black and white

when it comes to anything that you’ve presented to us.

~ Kim

That’s the attitude of a doer!

It’s not about changing the circumstances – that’s impossible.  We have to play the cards we’re dealt.

If your attitude is good, the facts don’t count, and you’ll find a way.

However, if your attitude is poor, any excuse will do.   Success could walk up to you and shake your hand, but you would never see it because you’ve already decided it doesn’t exist.

I’m very proud of Kim; she’s a doer, and it’s showing!

It’s never too late for you, friends.  Adopt the Attitude of a Doer today.

I can promise you that it won’t be easy.

Success is and has always been, only for the few who are willing to step forward regardless of the circumstances. Is that YOU?  You may surprise yourself with what’s there waiting for you!

Thank you for being here!
